Professional and Personal Information
I was born and raised in Vance County. I have lived in this area of North Carolina all my life. After being a stay-at-home mom for 16 years, I decided to go back to school to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. In 2003, I graduated from Meredith College. I spent my first 11 years teaching 2nd grade and 3 years teaching kindergarten. I’m currently in my 3rd year return to 2nd grade.

My husband Michael and I live in Oxford. We have three children. My son Ben is 37 and lives in Granville County with his wife Ashley. My daughter Katy and her husband Frank live in Fuqua-Varina. They have 2 children, Trenton, 9, and Mila Clare who is 2. Finally, my daughter Caroline and her husband Bryan live in Italy where my son-in-law serves in the Air Force. They have two daughters, Emma, 5, and Hayden,1.

Michael and I have a dog, Jake.

In our free time, We enjoy traveling, movies, and spending time with family and friends. We are very blessed.
