We learned about Martin Luther King and how he has impacted our lives today!  We did an egg experiment and talk about how the outside of the eggs were different but the inside was the same.

We learned that what Martin Luther King wanted the most was for everyone to be treated equal!

Open Mic Night

The kindergarten students did a fantastic job of performing their first open mic night for parents and the school community. The students listened to the story The Gingerbread Man Loose in the Zoo.  Then they were given the writing prompt of:  Where would you go if you were the gingerbread man and why.  They had to draw and tell about the prompt.

Ms. Criswell read a story to us called Gingerbread Mouse!  It was such a great story.  She challenged us with some hard questions but we were not stumped!  Thank you for reading to us Ms. Criswell.  We are looking forward to you reading to us in 2020!

This morning we took a walk with Ms. Holloway's class.  We had so much fun exploring the changes of the season.  We noticed how all of the trees leaves are almost gone except for the evergreen trees which we learned stay like that all year long.  We also counted 100 steps to see how far it would take us.  We talked about how the walk made us feel too. It was a fun fall adventure.

Do you spy an elf?

Today Belle the elf joined our classroom.  She is here to watch us spread kindness throughout the month of December.  The children will have a kindness challenge each day that Belle is watching to report back to Santa each night!  Ask your child about all of Belle's adventures!

Practicing writing lowercase letters a-z. Daylen, Brandon, Alex and Amy are doing a great job!

Raven and Alejandro are working on writing plane line slide letters v and w.

Elyjah and Triniti are writing the letters n and m.

November 1st ~ Day of Caring!

Thank you to all of the people who make our school successful!  We appreciate all that you do!  Because of all of you, we have a safe and loving environment to come and learn every day!

We had so much fun carving a pumpkin this Halloween.

We learned the parts of the pumpkin and scooped out all of the seeds and pulp inside!

We had a great time at Hill Ridge Farms!  Exploring Fall and celebrating Elyjah's birthday too!

Everyone got to pick a pumpkin!  Who went home and carved or painted their's?
